While she managed to add one more member to her team. She was really no closer to her ultimate lineup. Granted; she wasn't a hundred percent sure yet which Pokémons she wanted to end up with. But it sure in hell wasn't her current band- don't misunderstand, they weren't bad creatures (mostly) but she only had them so she could work her way up to better options. With a nonchalant glance she inspected her surroundings. This place was loaded with things to look at. Plants, she had never seen before. And Pokémon that couldn't be found anywhere else in Sinnoh. She wondered how "the friend safari" could be managed in the way that it was. She heard the employees were very vague about it- intriguing hmm?
And then she saw it- the animal with a very bunny like appearance. Aka;
Buneary. Nian wasn't too big on the pocketmonsters first evolution, it was a little too cutesy in her opinion. But her final stage was a whole different matter. She wouldn't delve too deep in her true thoughts about it, for keeping it SFW would be out of the question. But her mind was made up- she would make an attempt to catch this little lady. In a flash she had the Pokéball containing
Helios, her Ponyta in her hand. Nian hadn't used him in battle before, so she was curious to see how brightly his fighting spirit burned.
The woman had to turn away from the red glow that has engulfed her Pokémon. The brightness of it was just a little too intense. Once it had cleared however, she could gaze upon the magnificent animal without anything in the way. Nian had forgotten how large her Ponyta was, if it were to stand on its hind legs it would definitely tower over her. When the wild Pokémon finally noticed them, its first reaction was to flee. Perhaps it too, was initiated but the size of the fire-type.
Nian waved with her hand, as if she was cutting the air. She wouldn't let this creature get away so easily, not without a fight.
"Helios, use Ember!" It was the opening move, the exquisite dance for controle would begin now. The horse like creature opened its mouth. A small flame quickly appeared in front of it. To make it larger, it used the fire all over its body. As if it retracted all the heat to that one flame, thus feeding it. The Buneary halted her escape attempt. In fact- it wasn't doing anything now. It seemed afraid, to move but a single muscle in it's body. Nian speculated this was the first time the creature had found it self in a battle.
But the white haired woman didn't feel any sympathy, the only thought that appeared in her mind was;
"This will be over quickly"
However the brown coloured Pokémon was light on its feet. And was able to jump away just before the blaze could touch her. Thus the attack missed and created a small hole in the ground. Smoke, and the smell of burnt grass filled the air. Nian growled but was quick to communicate the next course of action her Ponyta should take.
"Let's change her opinion of you with a tail whip." Helios obeyed immediately. And while the action was a little awkwardly performed in the eyes of its trainer. (On the account that the Pokémon technically did not have a tail) It did seem to do the trick. The Buneary was less wary now.
The woman narrowed her eyes, now would be a perfect time to attack.
"Now, use tackle!" The Pokémon used its powerful legs to reach its opponents with an alarming speed. In its scared state, the brown pocket monster used
Splash. But of course, it had
no effect. Helios threw his body into the much smaller creature. There by crushing it. A high pitched scream was heard, but Nian was unfazed by it. When she had ordered her Pokémon to stand down it quickly moved out of the way. With a scream, that most tennis players expell when they successfully pass the ball onto their opponent. She hureld the predominantly red and white object in the direction of the fallen Pokémon.
