The green - especially weird- pokémon he had received as his very first pokémon was not enough. Finally he had the chance to catch real pokémon and learn more about them so that he could take better care of them when injured. It was a chance he had to take. With O’ by his side, he walked over route 203. The Natu was hopping everywhere, even managed to climb into certain trees. It was not exactly a noisy pokémon and Ivan had to pay close attention otherwise he would probably lose him. “At least try to stay close,” he said but the pokémon didn’t respond. It never did as it was always too occupied with something else. Ivan never got the feeling she didn't want to listen, so that was a positive thing. Right? When she disappeared between the leaves of a tree, he sighed deeply and crossed his arms as he waited for her to jump out of it again. At least she was enjoying herself.

She was taking her time up there in the tree. From where he was standing, he couldn’t even see her. Between the green leaves she was nearly invisible with her own green color. They were going to be here for a while if O’ stayed in there. A white pokémon appeared from under one of the bushes. Ivan recognized it as a ralts but still decided to scan it with his pokedex for extra information. It looked cute but he wasn’t sure if this was the pokémon that he wanted for his team.
O’ finally decided to jump down, right in front of the new pokémon. The ralts did not appreciate it and got scared by the sudden appearance of her. He knew all his pokémon wanted to do was stare at it, but the small one didn’t like it. Quickly it disappeared in the bushes from where it came. “Thank you so much O’, much appreciated,” Ivan said while shaking his head. With the Natu back on the ground, he decided to continue walking. There was no point in lingering around anyway.

With a frown he looked up when an artist rushed towards him, the sudden movement even startled O’ who started flapping with her wings. They asked him if they could make a painting of his pokémon. Ivan barely believed them. Looking down at his pokémon, the frown only deepend. Why would you want to paint that thing? Apparently this one was a big fan for some reason.
“Uhm no thanks,” he replied. Any other day he might have said yes, but right now he didn’t want to stay here and wait for them to finish their painting. He’d brought nothing to keep himself busy with. The artist looked disappointed at that and begged one more time, asking if there was anything he could do to change his mind. “The answer stays the same. Have a good day,” he said as he walked away from the man with O’ on his heels. The artist had frightened her and she didn’t want to stay around them any longer.
