Ansley nobbed at the quiet thought he had before entering the pokémon center with Equos at his heels. His hands were tucked away in his pockets and he walked further into the center. Someone who worked here was standing beside the counter, waiting for him. “I come for the internship,” he said flatly, which just shows how much he looked forward to this whole experience. The lady told Ansley they were waiting for one more person, making him look at her with knitted eyebrows. “Huh? Really? I thought this was a one-person job,” he sighed. This was getting better and better.
Ze rende met een boterham in haar mond in de richting van de pokémon center. Ze had een afspraak gehad, maar was de tijd helemaal uit het oog verloren, waardoor ze nu bijna te laat was gekomen. Snel probeerde ze haar eten nog naar binnen te werken, terwijl Mòr naast haar op volle vaart rende. Gelukkig kwam het rode gebouw al vrij snel in het zicht en wist Shifa de laatste hap door te slikken. Ze vroeg zich ondertussen af wat ze moest gaan doen bij deze stage. En ondertussen vroeg ze zich af of ze haar niet te jong zouden vinden hiervoor. Eventjes bleef ze voor de deuren staan, ver genoeg dat ze niet automatisch open zouden gaan. Ok, daar ging ze. Ze moest Ezra trots maken, ze moest laten zien dat ze dit aan kon. Shifa slikte en liep door de deuren naar binnen toe en ging bij een blauw harige man staan. "Hallo! Ik was hier voor de stage?" vroeg ze aan de zuster, terwijl ze net aan over de balie heen kon kijken. Ze keek de man naast haar eventjes van top tot teen en toen de zuster zei dat dit diegene was waar ze mee moest samen werken, viel haar mond bijna open. "Uh.. Hallo? Mijn naam is Shifa, en wie ben jij?" vroeg ze daarna, terwijl ze een hand uit stak. Goede opvoeding, dat had ze geleerd van Ezra.
How was he going to survive this day if he had to work with someone? That person would only be in his way, doing stupid, unnecessary shit. Did they not understand that he worked best when he was alone? Obviously not, otherwise they would not have done this to him.
An irritated sigh that sounded a bit like a growl escaped his mouth as he cast his eyes to the ceiling. He noticed a small figure in the corner of his eyes but offered it no attention. Ansley was too busy pitying himself. Because really, everything was bad and a waste of time.
For a moment it was silent and he got the feeling people were looking at him. He tore his eyes away from the ceiling and back to nurse joy before slowly looking to his side. There was nothing at first, but when he lowered his eyes he saw the small girl. “Heh?” slowly he looked back at nurse Joy who was simply smiling. The girl had her hand out towards him as she introduced herself. “Ansley,” he said, taken aback by the whole situation. Instead of shaking her hand, he placed one on her head. She really was this short. “Am I babysitting her?” he asked nurse Joy as he looked at her. His hand was still resting on the girl’s head. Was it bring-your-child-to-work day? He had missed a whole part of the conversation so maybe they had explained something important to him.
